Now and Then

Now and Then is a photography book initiated in 2019, a long-term documentary project on the intersection of traditional Chinese heritage and Asian American culture, exploring the diasporic experiences that resonate with my own journey as a native of China living in Los Angeles. The narrative of the project unfolds in two parts. First, the narrative takes a glimpse into contemporary Asian American communities, highlighting the diversity and richness of each experience. The second part delves into the immigrant journey, shaped by my own personal experiences and memories, transcending the boundaries of two cultures with a sense of belonging.
